While many diners rave about Pho No. 1, some express a desire for more dessert options to end their meal on a sweet note. A few reviews mention that certain dishes can be occasionally unavailable, underscoring the importance of checking the special offerings before ordering. Additionally, during peak hours, some visitors have noted that the wait for food can stretch a bit longer than expected, particularly on busy Friday nights. The space can also get quite crowded, which might not suit everyone looking for a quieter dining experience. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall dining experience remains favorable for most patrons.
My first time eating here and I was blown away! The waitress was absolutely lovely and was very helpful in catering to our dietary requirements. We ordered a plethora of different things to share and nothing disappointed!!!!! Will be returning :)
Friendly owner. Lots of choices of Vietnamese dishes. Food is good ant an affordable price.
This has been a long-time favourite of mine. It has a lovely, down-to-earth atmosphere and serves delicious, traditional Vietnamese food. Some of the dishes are truly special — the salt and pepper prawns and squid, green papaya or mango salad, bánh cuốn, and the claypot dishes are all outstanding. Occasionally, they offer special dishes or desserts such as bánh da lợn, though these aren’t always available, so it’s worth checking what’s on offer when you visit. There are plenty of other great dishes too, but after trying much of the menu, I keep coming back to these favourites.
Great place with authentic viet food, plenty of choices and very fast service!
If you’re in Manchester and wanting to try fresh authentic Vietnamese food this place is a musttt, the place has great vegan and vegetarian options. We got the vegetarian starter to share and the tofu banh mi. The food was really affordable and the service was incredible , the host was so kind and genuine. The spring rolls and summer rolls were incredible and the papaya salad so fresh. Defo recommend !! Love love love
Excellent Vietnamese restaurant in Ancoats, Manchester. The service was quick and the staff friendly. We ordered Salt and Pepper Squid as a starter and some Beef Pho soup as the main course, along with some Vietnamese coffee (cold). It was delicious, so I'll go back to try some Vietnamese desserts in the future 😋
Absolutely loved it. We was waiting for friends to come, whilst the waitress pushed us to order our food, it was in no way *rude* Excellent service and excellent food. Rare beef salad has too much beef!!! We added the salad from other food and mixed it into the salad which was so refreshing . Banh cuon the rice roll sheet must've been the thinnest I've ever had, so moorish. Not sure about the fried Vietnamese sausage. Rice Noodle main, had lots of veg, and little seafood... Didn't mind this at all. Overall food wasn't salty or filled with msg Vietnamese tea was excellent. Never had it before and the taste reminded me of pandan. Friends ordered rare beef pho and said the beef was so good and tender Banh xeo was also thin and crispy Highly recommend Loved the waitress straight up front approach 😊
